Paul Paul Adamson, FAIA, is a San Francisco Bay Area based architect, writer, preservation advocate and educator. As adesign architect he has led projects in several markets, including Hospitality, Civic Institutions, Student Life facilities,Historic Preservation and Adaptive Re-use, Retail and Residential. He is the author of the book, Eichler: ModernismRebuilds the American Dream, and has written numerous articles on Mid-Century design and planning. As a foundingDirector of DoCoMoMo|NoCa he successfully forwarded two Eichler Homes neighborhoods to the National Register. Anactive volunteer advocate for housing and sustainability, he is on the boards of the Center for Architecture and Design,AIASF, of which he was the 2022 Board President and where he currently co-chairs the Housing Knowledge Community,and he is a director of the William J. Worthen Foundation, advancing sustainability in design and construction. He hasbeen an invited critic at UC Berkeley, CCA and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and is currently an instructor at the Academy ofArt University School of Architecture, in San Francisco.
